The Canon EOS 5D is quite the camera. Representing what can be considered the first affordable full frame digital SLR, the Canon EOS 5D price has always been an attractive feature of the camera. Since full frame sensors are very expensive to produce, past SLRs have been affordable only to pros. The 5D has brought the sensor format within reach of the serious amateur.
